Furbabies and engagement sessions totally belong together, especially when said fur baby actually helped with the proposal! 🙂 It was really important to Danielle and Matt that their sweet dog be a part of their pictures. The wonderful Old House Winery and Vineyards was the perfect location since they are so dog friendly!
Though Danielle and Matt technically met online, shortly after they started dating, they discovered that they had friends in common.
Matt had a very thought out proposal for Danielle! Last May, they bought a fixer upper in the Fredericksburg area. On the day he was going to propose, Matt left puzzle pieces and clues for Danielle to find at downtown Fredericksburg at their favorite date places and where they shared memories. All the clues led Danielle back to their new work in progress home where Matt was waiting with their dog to propose!
I loved getting to know Danielle and Matt more during their engagement session! They are such a sweet couple and they are so excited to begin their life as husband and wife! They will be getting married this July at Old House Vineyards. It’s going to be such a gorgeous day!
If you are in the Culpeper area, I highly recommend planning a stop at Old House Vineyards! Not only is the wine fabulous (Wicked Bottom is my favorite), the pizza is delicious! We have had many a date there and actually spent a Saturday two weeks before our wedding celebrating our upcoming wedding with our parents. As long as there is not a wedding while you’re visiting, definitely go check out the island with all the locks engraved with couples’ names and wedding dates. Another fun fact, Greg actually considered proposing here, but since he tends to be a little clumsy, he was afraid that he would drop my ring in the water!
