On a beautiful day in April, Leanna, JK, Olaf, and Koda met me at Rust Manor in Leesburg, Virginia for their engagement session. Even though the wind was blowing strong, the sun was shinning and we finally had beautiful spring weather! The property had so many great spots for this adorable couple and their furbabies! I could have photographed them all afternoon! Olaf and Koda kept me laughing with all their kisses and talking. Leanna and JK have the most contagious smiles and genuine laughs!
Leanna and JK met at Radford University through mutual friends. Although they were friends first, it was an instant connection between the two of them from the very beginning! They dated for almost four years before JK proposed to Leanna this past Christmas.
It was Christmas morning, they were staying with Leanna’s family in a log cabin in the mountains in Tennessee. They were opening presents and Leanna’s last present to open was wrapped in the biggest box possible. Leanna started to unwrap it and realized there were many smaller boxes within the large box. After opening all the boxes and getting to the smallest box, inside was an envelope. JK had Leanna read the letter aloud, during which Leanna started crying and figured out what was about to happen. After she finished reading the letter, JK got down on one knee and asked Leanna to marry him! 🙂 I always love a Christmas proposal since we got engaged Christmas Eve! It’s such a special time to celebrate Christmas with your new fiance and families!
In November 2018, JK and Leanna will be husband and wife at Kalero Vineyards! Its going to be a romantic and genuine affair. They also have one of my favorite color palettes: marsala, navy blue, blush pink, and gold. It’s going to be such a gorgeous day filled with so much love and happiness!
