Spring and Fall are my couples’ favorite seasons. They are drawn to the light, colors, memories they have shared during those seasons. Rachel was torn between the two seasons and decided, why not use both for pictures? So we planned their engagement session for the Fall and they are getting married Spring 2019. Though it threatened to rain the day of their engagement session, we lucked out! Between that and the amazing fog on the mountains, it was a perfect Fall day at King Family Vineyards!
I thoroughly enjoy hearing my couples’ love stories and when asked, Rachel shared how they met and Jared how he proposed. I loved reading each of their memories from such important moments in their life! So without further ado, here is how they met from Rachel’s perspective:
“Jared and I met nine years ago in college where we were serendipitously placed as neighbors in our college apartment complex. One night, we finally mustered up the courage to stop by their place and say hello. After my nearly perfect rap rendition of “Juicy” by Biggie Smalls in the middle of his living room, Jared “knew I was the one”. He invited me over the next morning for a breakfast and movie date at his apartment and from that moment on we have shared countless memories and adventures together!”
Now for the proposal story:
“We were out in Telluride, CO to visit my parents. After a few runs one morning, we decided to stop off to get some family photos taken with an on-mountain photographers. We took a few photos with the family as a whole before the photographer asked to get a few pictures of just Rachel and I alone. I thought she would have known what was up the minute the photographer asked me to pose by getting on one knee, but it took a few moments before she realized what was happening. Rachel was so taken aback she even forgot to say yes for a second. It was a lift ticket well spent.”
